Subject: Non chopping head and cornstalk bales

ND
So how well would it work with a non chopping head to go out after with a v rake and try to rake and bale?

Or would one have to take a swather or something out and cut the stalks to be able to rake them?

Gleaner L series header, if that makes a difference.

This string of posts/questions are part of a train if thought we had today...if a neighbor can successfully grow corn on somewhat poor land, why can't we on somewhat better? Just how involved should we get again?

Edit: I forgot stalk choppers were a thing...
