NE Alberta | For me, the issue with starting the 4440 is that without fiddling with the "stop cable", it will fill the shop with smoke, even with a warm engine. So, for example, after doing an oil change, I hate to have the engine rev up before oil pressure builds, and it fills the shop with smoke. In that situation, I crank the engine some with the stop cable pulled out before I let it start. There are times here (it can get cold) when it probably needs the extra fuel to make sure it starts.
