Lawton MI | That really brings back memories, my neighbor had one when I was about 15 and would help him out after I got done with my farm chores. I remember working one night well after dark on that picker and finally got it running, we went inside to warm up and the next thing we knew the picker had jumped into gear and headed to the house. It pushed his old Chrysler out-of-the-way and stopped only when one of the snouts speared the wall of his house. His had no lights, so to pick at night he hung a Coleman lantern out in front of the drivers platform and used a flashlight to shine back at the wagon. As I remember it did a pretty fine job picking corn. | |
