EC Nebraska | When Prof. Lowell Moser taught "Forages", he said that cool season grasses would out-compete any warm season grass if you fertilize with nitrogen and sulfur early in the spring.
I don't know if that helps, you probably fertilize already anyway. Just thought I'd mention it.
Edit: I was assuming that that was a warm season grass in there. But now that I look a couple more times, I'm wondering if that's Reed Canarygrass. I can't really tell from the picture, but if that's Canarygrass, you're screwed. Here, at least, canarygrass will take over on any ground that's wet at all. Fertilizer will just make it worse.
