I've just tried to make it a habit of leaving things up if I unhook them anywhere but at the shop. That way you don't need a tractor or hydraulics to move something.


This. A little forward thinking will save you in the long run.

That being said...

I'm just as guilty as the next guy for not forward thinking! We're very fortunate we're not spread out very far so we just take tractors if we leave something. But I can see this being handy on a good sized truck like yours. You'll need that PTO unit, a pump, a reservoir, spool valve and all the hoses to hook everything up. I would recommend surplus center to supply those things if you don't have something laying around.
