Subject: RE: Lambing barn ideas

ESW ND
Not fancy, it worked for what it was for 40 some years. It served/serves as a pailcalf/lambing barn. Around 60-70 and one year 110 head. 32x56' 12-4x8 jugs and a space for a round straw bale. Fore front had the expecting ewes locked in at night and the far pen was the families after out of the jugs. They then got moved to a different little calf/lamb barn. Should have fans in the lambing barn. I had also made a bunch of freestanding sheep panels that had a nice large crowd area outside the barn for lockup at night and when the air temp was good they could be outside. That area also served as a spot to lock them in so a person could put feed or whatever in the large pen so you didn't have to fight with ewes around you or the tractor. Some of the panels inside the barn had been changed, that's an old pic. The polycarbonate in the walls and roof made that barn into a whole new place once we put it in. Very nice and bright. Much more comfortable. Visually appealing.
