Subject: What has not been said-

Little River, TX
What was at one time thought to be a disadvantage and hindrance eventually has been found to be an advantage.
An attitude adjustment may not be fun but it can prove beneficial.

Nitrate can still be lost to leaching, no matter how high the clay content.

This is true and I feel the nitrates migrate deeper into the soil profile and is available to the crop when the shallow profile has dried during our Summer Drought. Still they can not get too far with the poor internal drainage, here.

Soil tests are, at best, a very rough guideline for nutrient availability to crops. Much better to sort things out with tissue analyses, careful observation, and occasional test strips to verify.

A true statement made with class. I like that.
