Denhoff,ND right in the center of the State
Last year quite a bit Glenn was grown around here and the Gleaners did a very good job at cleaning it up, I run a old Green stripe L3 with a 9 bar lowen concave and new bars, and it was 1% dockage, a neighbor had a newer R72 and it did a good job also, The JD combines had a hard time getting it clean, I worked with Farm Rescue and they had a new rotary JD 9760 and neighbor that got hurt was using a JD 9600 and they were at 12-15 % dockage with both so dont believe that conventional combines are better. I have not talked to any one who has used a IH axil flow on glenn so I am not a lot of help but I think Jon Hagen has the right idea. I have been growing glenn wheat for 3 years now and really like it, it has a really tight hull on it, keeps its color nice after a rain on it and dont sprout in the head as easy with its tight hull. First year I grew glenn, I had some alsen planted right next to it and I pulled in to the glenn and the hopper was full of white caps, so I tightened the concave and put more air to it and it did a good job then. Didnt mean to piss anybody off with this post just stating what I have found. Terry
