Subject: Re: Glen wheat and Case IH axial flow

central north dakota
we had glen wheat last year and couldnt get it thrashed out with a jd sts dealer was out and we did everything to it totally covered the concaves with plates and ran the concaves tight against the rotor with the rotor running wide open and slowed down to 3 mph only way we could get a somewhat clean sample and we had a 9600 jd running in the same field and the rotor was getting about 4-5% dockage and the conventional was at 1.5-2%.....just my experience with glen there was about 5-6 other farmers had the same trouble with rotors green, red, yellow didnt matter what machine, custom combiners combining for a neighbor said that u will learn when u own a rotor to seed easy thrashing wheat.....just my 2 cents
