Yeah, I have a Delmhorst 2000 I think is the model, you can probe bales with it, and test the windrows with it to, also I have mine mounted in the tractor most of the time and it reads constantly while baling, and gives you an avg every 10 seconds. You would be surprised how much variance there is in a windrow. I know we have found we dont start as soon or go as long anymore since we got it, its almost always drier or wetter then you think, I have noticed that the old rule of thumb of if the tires are getting shiney its time to quit, you shoulda guit a long time before that usually, cause it is wetter then you think.
I always figure 7 days to go thru the sweat, but that might be longer than a guy really needs to wait.
I think I gave like $259 or something like that for mine with all the attachments and baler sensor. Well worth the money in my opinion.
