Where are they? All over the field? If they are just around the outside, perhaps you could run a cultivator between a few rows. Slugs don't like crossing bare ground. They usually hide under the trash.

I heard once that you need to spray nitrogen 3 nights in a row to get rid of them. Apparently they only come out once every 2 or 3 days to feed.
