Mechanicville, NY | speaking of lawn games; does anyone remember the lawn game "Jarts" that was popular in the 70's? I remember my father playing it with family members. There were two rings set about 40 feet apart maybe and the jarts were red or blue depending on which team you were on. You had to throw the jarts to land in the circle but thay had to stick into the ground like an arrow head. They weren't very heavy or sharp but I am sure some urban legends were created by them. "Stay away or you will get one in the back" our fathers liked to say -
and what about badminton? does anyone ever play anymore? | |
