I'm small potatoes too (much less than you run) and use a trimble 750 with rangepoint rtx for guidance on the stripper then drive the planter on stripped ground. Otherwise planter tractor has the same guidance and use that on all my straight notill. So you really don't need rtk for strip till systems. It's actually easier driving the planter in stripped ground than following a marker. Chem programs don't really vary much from tilled ground other than I've gone to burning off covers before or after planting depending on rainfall and come back early post with another burndown pass and reduced rate of residual. Effective and has worked well last several years.
