Heard he had identical wagons that he used to weigh bushels. One of the wagons had fluid in the tires while the other didn't. Somehow he used that to "cheat". That's the story I was told anyhow. Also heard he had very high OM in his soils and he swore by the mini moldboard plow. I believe he raised outstanding corn, but perhaps he did fudge some with the fluid in the tires.
