We grown broilers chickens for 28 yrs it's been good for us along with cow / calf ,I've fed out hogs already yrs ago rather raise chickens any day, chickens won't tear up the equipment and buildings and chicken litter ammonia isn't near as corrosive as hog ammonia, JMO ,good luck in your decision
