western iowa,by Denison | leave it run-My Dad told me that during world war 2 there were motors that ran over a year and never shut off-8760 hours-they changed oil with out shutting them off-on are small motors it probably takes more fuel starting and stopping-on 800 hp we shut it off if it idles more then 5 minutes as it loads up with fuel-on small 100-300hp we leave it run-takes 1 minute to cycle safety switchs to take brake etc off-we leave the skid or payloader run-its not a big question-we need to load not crank | |
