Tennessee | The Sabbath was a day of rest for the Israelites. Sunday commemorates the day Jesus rose from the dead. At that point the law was fulfilled and the Sabbath was no longer in force. We are now under a new law. It is not a sin to work on Sunday. No statement like that is made in the Bible. If it were a sin, the first century Christians were sinning, because the Roman work week started on Sunday. Early Christians rose early to worship before work. | |
