Subject: RE: Now that's just not true ~ History

central - east central Minnesota -

BacNBlak - 11/18/2018 08:14 Declining. ETA: But we are not looking at changing our doctrine to encourage ‘higher attendance’. The purpose of Church, of any Christian denomination, is to preach the word of God, not bend to social and political agendas. We are looking at ways of adjusting our services offered to make sure we are keeping up with times today and what our community needs but changing our doctrine is not a part of that.

If history is any indication - Preaching the word of God, has bent and changed to the social and political agendas of the day, since the beginning of time.

ETA: I"m about the biggest heathen there is, when it comes to churches - but, looking back and seeing how the leaders of religion have bent and changed to fit the political reign of the world of the time, seems to contradict what you speak of what is happening today. More of the same . . . . .
