NW Tennessee | I can see from this thread I’m very fortunate with my insurance costs and plan. We were with BC/BS through Farm Bureau from the early 80’s until the ACA act. Our policy got grandfathered in for a while until BC/BS stopped carrying us and all the other policies outside the ACA. Farm Bureau changed to UMR and coverage has been great, at least as good as it was with BC/BS. It’s a group plan, our deductible is $1000, a $20 copay for doctor visits, and it pays 80% of most everything after my deductible is met. I think my out of pocket expense limit is $5000, maybe? Not really sure about that without looking it up. The premium at age 58 for me and my wife is $1035.50 per month. | |
