Pies have gone for as high as $1,000 at the county fair. Not sure on the highest cake.
Usual price is $80-$200 depending on where it places. $400 isn’t unheard of.
I try to buy one of each every year, but will admit for aiming for the cheap ones. Proceeds go to the fair which uses them for a scholarship fund and the baker gets a portion. Good fundraiser and community involvement.
