They probably all have worms to some degree.
Why they don't all die is the same reason that not every hog dies when a herd gets infected with any other disease. Say you have a 1000 hd barn full of PRRS negative pigs and you get a bad PRRS out break. 100-300 end up dead, another 100-300 could just as well die and you're left with 200-800 that are half decent but never grow like they should.
Some just have more tolerance to disease and parasites.
