Whenever one of these types of warbird crashes happens and the NTSB issues their findings, I'm always reminded of the infinitely deep pockets required to maintain military aircraft and to maintain the level of training required to fly them safely. 

The article said 14 (!) fire departments (I'm guessing mostly or all volunteer) responded. That's a huge response, depleting the reserve response capability for a large area around the accident site.

It's a sad situation all the way 'round, and I will wager that there will be future consequences to flight shows as well.
