Southeast WI
Eye doc told me the same thing. Nope I was too young. Then i had a Menards moment. You know the ads they put over the urinal? Couldn't read the damn things until I leaned way back. Figured I'd get weird looks if I kept doing that so I better get bifocals.

Went the transition route as I looked through the line ones once and said no friggin way. There are different emphasis on what you need so work with your doctor - ie do you need more distance or more of a need for close up. It'll take some adjustment. Worst things are working close up under vehicles or stepping off ladders, stairs etc so be careful.
