North of London | Too bad, I found it interesting being old enough to remember much of the 40ies.
Next week they will show the family living in the 1950ies.
They redid the inside of their home of today to be a home from the 1940ies with an ice box and a radio only for entertainment.
Decoration including wallpaper from that period, dressed the family in period clothing and hairdo's too
Rolls changed as wife had to prepare all meals and cook while husband cut grass with a push mower etc while in todays world the husband does a lot of the cooking in this family at least.
They gagged on the food available for them in the 1940ies too with no prepared prepackaged meals including breakfast.
quite interesting maybe you could catch it on a CBC channel if you live close enough to the border I think it is Thursday evening at 8 pm it is broadcast.
