North Central Illinois | Oh I know where you are coming from but we can't legislate common sense for everything. I think it is utterly foolish to ride a motorcycle without a helmet or drive a car without a seatbelt. On the other hand they aren't hurting anyone but themselves by not doing so. The one good thing about seat belt laws is that the young people start wearing the belt when they are in drivers training and it becomes a habit or something they are used to. 99% of them don't feel comfortable driving without it. I suppose you could make the same argument for helmets but not sure about that. At any rate I am glad you were wearing your helmet and that you are alive to share this story with us! | |
