West Central MN | I am located in West Central MN and we were also Unicel until the Verizon buyout happened.
We had really terrible service with Unicel, could hardly even use our phone in our area and absolutely could not use it in the house. Complained many times to Unicel (along with all the neighbors) but could not get them to put up any more towers in our area. Where I live we are about 15 miles from the nearest tower.
So far with Verizon, I have been very impressed. Signal strength has increased greatly even though no new towers have been built and I can count the number of dropped calls I have had on one hand since the changeover took place. Maybe it has to do with switching from a three year old cell phone to a brand new Blackberry Curve, but I have talked to others who are also happier now.
PS: The internet works great also and much faster than I expected it to be. | |
