Everyone always says BCS on these threads. They are really nice, but unless you are making a living from your garden, they will require you to grow a LOT of tomatoes to justify the price of one. I have had two Craftsman 19 inch tillers with Briggs motors that have been flawless for a normal homeowner garden. Just make sure you get one with forward and reverse tine direction. Many are just reverse and they suck. I'm not sure Craftsman still makes them, but there are other very similar brands making them (probably on the same assembly line!). I've bought both of mine off of Craigslist from city homeowners who used them to do one time landscape or garden so they were basically new for under $300 each. I wouldn't give much for a newer Troy bilt as they are just light MTDs rebadged.
