We've tried no till beans here a few times. On a year with normal moisture we will plant at least a week later than working our soils. Our window here in southern IL can be very small to get everything planted. Sometimes your lucky to get a week of planting for the entire April and May so we do what we have to to speed things up. Blackening up the soil in the fall can pay huge dividends here.
