Google cat hairballs, lots of good info out there. Start grooming cat daily, cuts down on the amount of hair cat ingests while grooming itself. Also, change to a hairball preventative type of dry cat food. examine puked up material, long and cigar shaped? = probably hairball, if not, see vet.
