Subject: who sets the price

Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49
I have read threads on here about the price of feeders. Some being to high and some saying there to cheap. Some think they should all be cut. Some think you can count to two. I personally band mind mine and I still need to count to 2.
Back to my original thought. Who sets the price of feeders and Fats.
I have always felt that if the feeders at the sale barn are to high, It's because at least 2 people want them.
Fats I'm not sure who sets that price.
Cow/calf guys are at the mercy of the guys buying them to feed.
Just wondering about some other thoughts on the subject,
