Subject: RE: Smidley hog feeders

Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80

I just burned the last 3 of those Smidley feeders, this Summer that were twice as big as your photos.

They might have looked decent up top, but when I went to pull them out, from under the building's roof, the very bottom started to come apart.

Dad had feed high moisture corn in them but they still didn't work perfectly in the Summer time = corn still sticks to the sides, even with those wire panels inside = had to go to daily feedings/filling with just enough feed for each day (back in the 70s and 80s).

I agree, they should probably be very close to "Free".
