North Central Illinois | Definitely only a "fair" load. Until I bought the Allis this fall, I pulled the rig for a number of years with an 1800 Oliver, or Belarus 572. I can get 12 dry bales on a load this way.
Having a way to haul the skid steer to and from the field like this was well worth the hour or so welding a hitch on the back of the trailer. All my hay fields are within a mile of the barn, but that's still too far to drive twice for every load. Hard to believe I got anything done hauling one bale at a time on the 3 point the first three years of making round bales.
I figured I had to post a picture of my rig after the post of a skid steer strapped on the back of a straight truck a few days ago. | |
