Subject: RE: CORN DRYING

I havn't dried much corn in the last couple of years, but three years ago dried 5000 bushels that I had taken out early in different fields to establish parking for the semi to load in the fields for combining beans in adjacent fields. I don't remember what propane was at that time but corn came out at 21 to 25% moisture. It cost me $.07 per bushel in gas to dry down to 15% moisture. I don't add in the cost of electricity for the fans and automatic transfer augers as they would run regardless of moisture.
