Oklahoma Panhandle
We are already seeing that in our town. Automation has taken many gas oil and farm jobs. As farms have grown the jobs are generally replaced by lower income move in families that do not support the community or schools. They generally are on government assistance. I miss some of the families and the small town of yesteryear. However time marches on and we need to embrace the multi cultural community we are.

We had a neighbor quit this year. I didn't necessarily get along with him or his brother but I miss him as a community member and his family. His kids will all eventually move off as there is no hope for a better life here and probably too many bad memories. It kind of feels like someone died.
