I actually did a basis contract today. I feel the initial rally will be sold hard for most will fear a repeat of last year. Plenty of corn in the bins so basis will most likely widen. Also I will need some money fairly soon. The rest I will hold longer and see what unfolds. "Never sell beans I February and always have old corn sold before July 4" both could be wrong this year.
Which end user could afford to pay more?
