| I'm at a bit of a loss as to what you mean by dead end line.
The expansion tank will be at the end of a line coming from the return side normally. It's nothing more complex than a baloon on the end of a soda straw, accomodating the water expansion.
My thinking is that the veggieboiler you have isn't a whole lot different from an old fashioned household coal boiler, huge volume of water, and small constant fire. The expansion tank will need to be physicly sized to accomodate that volume, or it's pee on the floor time.
With that in mind, I'm also wondering if perhaps you're overfiring for the heatload, and the overpressure device is kicking on temperature rather than expansion. Have you noticed the temperature when the releif kicks?
This is a perfect excuse to add an infrared thermometer to the took box if you don't already own one. | |
