Looks nice. Watch your pto also. Stop and start under heavy load can do some damage. Get a guard on it. Flying hooks and cable go places you never dream of. We have even lost hooks they flew so hard. Going to need to be able to "dig in" to anchor that winch.    We put a hydraulic drive on our winch truck. Have never damaged drive line. Do you have access to the drum brake from the seat? May need that to hold when you pause pulling?   My experience from oilfield.

Saw a hook bury in the hood of a D6. That operator was using the tower when we told him not to.

Might find a nice tower handy for lifting. Use ours to lift trailers and such for service. Yes we use safety stands then. 

Add. I never used that kind of clamp on a winch cable. Watch the loop for damage. It may be the equivalent of pulling on a kinked line.
