SC | I agree with most of the comments. Either a dozer blade or spade bits mounted off the back to dig in better is going to be a better anchor. A higher elevation for the cable will help lift stuck equipment but make the whole assembly try to rotate and perhaps damage the tractor. The controls on the outside are only for reeling out the line and then you get inside the cab to turn on the PTO and bring the line in. The winch originally wrapped the cable over the top but the tractor PTO direction is opposite the truck PTO that it came off of so I had to reverse the cable and pull from the bottom. I will probably chain the toolbar to the drawbar to hold it down and hold the brakes with my feet to save the parking pawl on the tractor. I need to get a big snatch block in addition to the other improvements. | |
