| Try to take a ball point pen and run along the crack and see if it catches anywhere. I had a brand new car crack a front windshield at 300 miles old. Took it back to dealer, he took his pen and ran the crack. He found a little tiny chip in it in the glue line on outside of the window where it was glued in place. You couldn't visually see it because of the black glue under it. But the pen sure would catch in it. The dealer said no problem they would replace the window for me. We hadn't put 200 miles on that car, the other 100 miles was from transferring from another dealer. They were really good about it. They were a Toyota dealer.
This windshield cracked when my wife turned the radio up in the car. Her and a gal at work got it in to take it for a test drive. They called me crying as the windrow just cracked and ran across the windshield when they cranked radio up.
