Had to do the research myself.
Talked to SS and Medicare multiple times.
In most, majority of the cases you are correct. But not all cases.
Again, If you are 65, not drawing social security, still working where there is a group health plan in which you are enrolled, you are not required to sign up for Medicare.
However, when you draw social security or are not covered by a group health plan you have a window to sign up for Medicare or you are penalized.
Why you would go one day without coverage is beyond me.
If you find in writing where I'm wrong, please share.
And I'm talking about from Medicare not one of these 10,000 jokers trying to sell you a Medicare supplement.

Because I'm on a high deductible Health Savings Plan I would be penalized if I did sign up for part A
They make this stuff so complicated it is tough to navigate through it.
