DISAGREE.   I like switching because it starts the day closer to sunrise regardless of the time of year.    No DST it would be light by 4 AM in June in our part of the country, and if it stayed on DST it wouldn't get light until 9 AM in the winter.    I realize you said split the difference, but then it's not enough of a gain any time of the year.

Those of us with off farm jobs take full advantage of DST.    I can't believe how many people complain about this.    Now it's off to work for me.
