I just wanted to say thanks for the advice on nozzles for preservative. I resurrected this old applicator for a total cost of about 30.00 and mounted one nozzle where you suggested and one on the top rail between the mixing rotors. it is amazing the difference between the factory setup and your suggestions. this time I was actually able to feel the uniformness in the bale, and could almost see the product being mixed into the bale before it got to the plunger.
I only did about 1800 bales of 23%ish hay this fall, but after 3 weeks there has been zero heating.
