Central indiana | May 11, 1983 (night before my youngest daughter was born) had a truck show up at 2:00 AM that had been to our place several times. The problem was that I didn't have any cattle coming. He checked the paper work. Same last name, first name was Mark, instead of Mike, correct town, wrong state. He left Culpepper, Va. and drove to Lebanon, In. He was supposed to go to Lebanon, Missouri. After driving 750 miles and thinking he was done he realized he had 650 to go. Probably 450 miles out of the way. Rough night. I fixed him a thermos of coffee and he took off for Missouri. | |
