east central ND | In East Central ND the local elevator Cash bids from yesterdays close. Corn: $3.45 basis at $0.83 . Soybeans: $9.36 basis at $0.80. No wonder you guy way down buy the river have huge land prices. I can understand the higher basis on soybeans as they all get shiped out. but we have 2 ethanon plants and a corn sweetner plant within 90 miles, shouldn't the corn basis be way lower? I was under the impresion that basis was the shipping price to the terminal or user. Now its just another way to get screwed. | |
