With a headgate instead of a squeeze chute, you will need to look at a portable or alleyway installation where you will place a platform in the alley. You will also save a little bit of money over a permanent/squeeze chute installation.

The main thing you will want to think about with a scale system, now that portable is determined, is the scale indicator. The indicator is the brains behind the weighing system. Indicators can be as basic as display-only while others can store tag numbers and weights for downloading to your computer afterward. Some models also support EID/RFID readers in case you go there one day.
