If you don't care about originality, I would try to do some searching and measuring on what frame you could drop the body onto. S10s are common for this. Find a good driving S10, and mount your body on it. You will be money, time, and headaches ahead, and have a lot riding, driving pickup. Not sure on that old of pickups, but I know for a few years newer they make kits just for mounting old pickups on S10 frames.
Good luck, and take lots of pictures throughout the build. The possibilities are endless. If it were me, I'd put a small block Chevy in it with 700r4. Would make for a very nice cruiser with endless supply of parts and options for pretty cheap as they are so common.
