SE Nebraska | I hear you. They closed one lane of southbound 77 so they could patch the potholes. They dropped the speed limit in this area from 65 to 50. They put up about 10 miles of cones this week so they could work in a one mile stretch. I assume they will eventually patch all 10 miles, and I understand that the patches need to cure before traffic gets on them, but why can't they put the cones on the shoulder and then move then into the lane as they go. I recall them doing the same thing a few years back.
All of the cones are still up today, and I bet they won't be working this weekend. | |
