NW Mo | Matt, we have the Schlagel wheels on a Kinze 2500 set up for 100% no till. No problem with corn root balls. Installed them last year, one of the best updates we have done to the planter. Allowed us to plant, and close the seed slot in less than desirable wet conditions but we got the crop in. I am absolutely impressed with the wheels and would buy them again in a heartbeat. We did install the scrapper blades for the Schlagel wheel at the same time. Worked flawlessly.
Prior to installation of these, we always had trouble closing the seed slot in no till, especially on the contour as we bend around the hills of NW MO. | |
