Middle Tennessee | Southern cattle has a stereotype that for many is well deserved. Even though we are small and and only have 100 mama cows, we try very hard to put good decent calves in your pens. A lot of us southern guys are following a good vaccination protocol, a 45 day weaning period and putting good genetics in our breeding stock . This practice has not paid dividends in the last 5 months but a lot of us will continue just so maybe someday the stereotype will go away. Southern calves just like their cousins in the north will bawl for the feed truck if the bunk goes empty if they have the proper management in their last 45 days before you get them.
