Subject: RE: Kinze finger corn meters or Precision meters?

We have had 2 Kinze planters with their meters, this past year was with a new Great Plains planter with the precision meters. Quite frankly I felt that one was as good as the other. We had our Kinze meters checked every 2-3 years (100 acres per row). The precision show more promise for adjustment, but if I had to choose I wouldn't pay a lot more for them. I certainly wouldn't replace them on an existing planter.

Every time we had a stand problem it was the depth setting on an individual row. That can make a lot bigger difference than any properly set meter.

Just my thoughts
